This 3-day course involves various salmon culture and mariculture techniques commonly in practice in Alaska’s hatcheries and farms. The course is designed for both students who have little or no background as well as those already employed in the industry. There will be background information prior to hands-on activities but for the most part, this workshop will be in the lab or field with students actively engaged in Aquaculture techniques.
