🌊 Big News: The Hub & Community are Going Public October 28
-
Hello Community! We have some exciting news to share with all of you who have helped build this incredible collaborative space.
At the end of the month, the entire Hub will be opening to the public - including all courses, resources, and community discussions. Anyone interested in ocean farming will be able to access everything without needing to log in or register first.
This is a major step toward making ocean farming knowledge accessible to anyone who needs it.
What you should do:Â- 📋 Review your posts - Review what you've shared and edit or remove anything you wouldn't want publicly findable. You can find all your posts on your profile page. To edit, click the three dots at the top of any post or next to the reply button once you navigate to the thread.Â
- 👤 Check your username - It'll appear on any of your posts. You can edit your name under "Edit Profile" here.
- 🔒 Update your profile - As more people join, now's a great time to review your profile information. Your profile will still only be visible to registered members.
Why we're doing this:
Our mission to regenerate ocean ecosystems while building a sustainable blue economy is bigger than any one organization. By opening up these resources, the knowledge built here can reach aspiring farmers, buyers, researchers, policy makers—anyone who needs it.
When someone searches for solutions to their ocean farming challenges, we want them to find answers on the Hub. Just like forums that became essential resources for woodworkers or mechanics, we're building that for ocean farming. Every question answered and insight shared becomes part of a living resource for the next generation.
What this means:- All Hub courses and resources will be freely accessible to anyone - no login required
- Community posts and replies will be publicly visible and searchable (like Reddit or other forums)
- Visitors can't post or see member profiles—they can only read and learn
- More eyes on your expertise = bigger impact on the industry
