Anne Saxelby Legacy Fund Seeks Partner Kelp Farms for 2025 Apprenticeship Program

The Anne Saxelby Legacy Fund (ASLF) provides monthlong, fully-paid apprenticeships for young adults (age 17-25) to live on sustainable farms—to work, learn, and be inspired to create positive change in their communities and beyond. ASLF supports all wages, travel, and lodging, which puts the program within reach for everyone. The farms serve as a gathering place, a food source, an opportunity for continued education, and a connection to nature. ASLF’s goal is to bring hands to farms, educating apprentices in all areas of sustainable food production, agriculture, and the environment. After the month on the farm, participants are then supported by our Alumni Advisory Council, a group of esteemed advisors who will help establish pathways towards sustainable projects and new businesses for years to come. ASLF is seeking kelp farmer host partners for their 2025 season, with a goal to send 120 apprentices to 75 farms nationwide. Please contact kristina@annesaxelbylegacyfund.org to learn more.
