Cliff notes:

• Updates on the status of seaweed permitting across 11 states
• Discussions on seaweed seed stock sourcing trends and highlight nuances in regulations around seed importation
• Review of federal permit requirements and outline the differences between general, individual, and nationwide permits (of which there are three that pertain to aquaculture)
• Progress with food safety regulations (Sea Grant is still working on the exception around drying and dehydrating "on farm") and talk about various infographics they've developed to better describe classifications and food regulations
• Highlight other areas of work, including but not limited to the launch of an online Seaweed Food Safety Database that includes global resources on seaweed food safety/hazards.
