I'm not sure if anyone here could directly help or participate with this, but it's not impossible either. https://www.herox.com/AlgaePrize?_hsmi=276209189&_hsenc=p2ANqtz--tAzdSO-ZrJoc1E1UzqiKgyKIgcVR3J8QTOBIZ2xroZLShjiuPH1obuly7QiEsb74iQuKbMFZYYrc8XRiBMbOrEPN-Fg
@jorgen_nicholls thanks for posting this. A couple of Alaska-based kelp scientists were prize winners last year. Here's some more information from @ike_levine
Registration for the AlgaePrize 2023-2025 Competition is officially open! Our national algal-based competition challenges students to become the next generation of bioeconomy professionals. With $215,000 in prizes, student teams will have the opportunity to compete by expanding novel solutions to production, processing, and new product development on the way to gigaton-scale algae commercialization for fuel, food, products, and carbon dioxide utilization/sequestration. Be sure to review the current resources we have included on our HeroX site, including official rules and instructions on how to register.
We hope that you will join us for this year’s competition and forward this information with any interested parties. If you need additional support, we invite you to join one of our weekly virtual office hours hosted every Wednesday in October from 3:00pm - 4:00pm ET. Email AlgaePrize@thealgaefoundation.org to RSVP or use this link to join.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
