Maine Seaweed Benchmarking Report

The The Maine Aquaculture Association (MAA) recently published a new financial benchmarking report and a two-page resource to help seaweed farmers build sustainable businesses. The report looks at seaweed farm size and profitability, plus explores some of the main costs and how these have changed across farms over time. The report can be used as a benchmark, but they caution that there is significant variability at the farm level. Learn more about the report on the MAA website.

@john_lovett glad you found the resource helpful. Keep in mind the variability at the farm level. Small farmers can of course still be profitable, especially when selling to markets willing to pay a premium.
