hey there, ocean lovers, and change-makers, my name is belle and I am from south coast of New south wales Australia.
I want to start this thread of conversation for others who love this work but live in Australia, connect, and link up businesses that we can support, learn about, and connect to.
for me, I am not an ocean farmer and don't fund be able to do it but I have time, to put in all my waking hour on someone else farm, to support anyway I can, if there is any farming or people starting up a project or awesome research about Australian new green waves, blue carbon, ocean regenerative studies, here is we can share them, talk about them and start weaving webb together which I think really need to start spore up!
to get us to start, here are a few projects, businesses, know so far.
Brian von Herzen, PhD, founder of the non-profit climate foundation and starting up solution called marine permaculture. very big dreams and big ideas, in my opinion, need to find a way to do it on a small scale too.

Sam Elsom founder of the sea forest, plants a type of red seaweed (Asparagopsis) and feeds to cows to reduce methane emissions. his project is awesome and really shows us such potential of seaweeds

Hi Kendall, Hi Belle, I have a small business on the south coast of NSW called Sea Health Products and we have set up a hatchery breeding Ecklonia radiata for farming and restoration projects. We are also working through the regulations for a kelp farm on the south coast. The kelp industry is still quite small in Aust but gaining momentum.
