I will be heading to Japan the summer after next and would love to volunteer for a day or two on a seaweed farm. Would anyone have any ideas of where to look for something like this? I am willing to travel and arrange for my own housing.

@hazel_levine, thanks for the post. I am currently trying to learn more about the seaweed industry (and other related industries) in Japan, but it's looking like I will have to learn Japanese to really be able to navigate around that business space. If I find any good guides, I'll send them to you. Also, feel free to send me a message or two in the next few months.
Also: do you mind me asking, can you speak and read/write Japanese? What is bringing you out there?
