You might check out the online course we're leading this January titled How To Start A Kelp Farm -- where different farmers will be talking about their experiences getting started. Come April, I'd highly recommend checking out Seaweed Week up in Portland, Maine. Usually there are a number of events at local breweries/restaurants for farmer meet & greets. You can check out last year's schedule here. Hope that helps!
@david_pappano Hi David, we are just across the border in Kittery/York, Maine and happy to chat sometime. We are a small kelp farm interested in innovating in all areas: farming, processing, and value-adding. Haven't looked into the hatchery aspect yet, but we are happy to be a local resource.
