Farmer Forum: Gear Choice Workshop 9/22/22
-
Are you trialing a new farm design this year and want feedback from experts on which anchors, lines, or buoys to buy? Curious if others have had success with your chosen system? Need the input of a marine engineer?
Join us next Thursday, September 22 at 4PM EST for a Gear Selection Workshop! Cliff Goudey, marine engineer and CEO of TendOcean, Dave Bailey, Research Associate from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and Alf Pryor, farmer and owner of Alaska Ocean Farms will be in attendance to answer your questions on the pros and cons of using different anchors, lines, and buoys for seaweed cultivation.
Anyone planning to farm kelp during the 2022- 2023 season is invited to register. If you’re an aspiring farmer looking to get involved, but not outplanting this fall, stay tuned for a future series for prospective farmers. In the meantime, check out the Annual Operations course curriculum on GreenWave’s Ocean Farming Hub and post your questions to the community!
