Hi! My name is Julie. I am in the beginning stages of starting an underwater food forest in the Gulf of Mexico. I'm looking for a connection to learn about existing aquaculture in my area. 

Food cultivation from the Gulf of Mexico in a restorative manner is my goal. I grew up on this coast and have witnessed significant environmental disasters due to changes in ocean chemistry. Aquaculture can change everything. 

My background is in SCUBA diving, both recreational and commercial. I've also spent time farming plants and animals on land-based operations. 

I look forward to hearing from another aquaculture enthusiast.

@julie_shoults - Hey Julie! Where abouts in Florida are you located? I went to college in Tallahassee and spent some time in Apalachicola. Since moving away I've been following the news about the oyster fishery restoration efforts there. Are there similar happenings near you?
