Responsible sorus collection for hatchery operations

As we head into August, hatchery season is right around the corner! 

I've already started to coordinate with our sorus collection divers -- even though we don't expect any sorus formation until the waters cool down, I've asked them to survey the beds we want to collect from this season to make sure they're looking dense and healthy. 

GreenWave has put together some best management practices (BMPs) for responsible sorus collection, but I'm curious, what other ways can we all harvest more mindfully to protect the natural seedstock?
