The Thimble Island Ocean Farm has a Community Supported Fishery (CSF). Members sign up at the beginning of the season and pick up a kelp/shellfish box once a month. 

As a small ocean farmer, creating a relationship with the public is an important part of your business and it's one of the most rewarding parts of being a farmer. The community wants to hear your story and learn about the crop you worked so hard to grow. 

When members sign up early in the season, it makes harvest easier. Knowing the exact amount needed to harvest prevents unwanted waste and helps farmers save. It's important for farmers to sell their crops in a way that works for their small business but also allows them to share their unique story with the community.
