@jay_corckran - Hi Jay! What species are you planning to grow? I've always been under the impression that Maryland's waters might be right on the cusp of too warm for kelps, but perhaps I'm mistaken. I know that there is a well-developed and strong oyster industry in the region, with some excellent advocates and staff in your local Sea Grant office. Keep us posted on your progress!

Have you started permitting yet? The entire process is focused on shellfish, so if you have any tips on incorporating seaweed onto a farm I'd love to hear it.
