Hello! I am Charles, nice to meet you! My love for the sea started in my teens living aboard a boat in Long Beach Marina. As I grew up I did anything I could to be by the water. I've always enjoyed a good job. I've spent summers Stacking steel and beach napping, I became a salesman living on that boat, I've tried framing, plumbing electrical and drywall. I liked the work and I liked the money but I didn't like myself. Eventually I found a new career path I enjoyed. After some time in Bristol Bay then a processing boat in the Bering Sea I realized that I wanted to be a fisherman. I love the ocean and all it's mighty glory, there's a lot of amazing things about the ocean and the people surrounding it that stick with you. Instead of going back to Bristol Bay I was told i'd be sent to tend before Cod & Crab season. After a cleet snapped off the other boat and whipped my leg I haven't been the same. I love the Ocean and I could spend my life on it, but that cleet messed me up and I can't really go up and down stairs anymore. I'm still in the process of recovering, seeing physical therapists and doctors. Once we re-align my leg, and the fluids are gone, there will still be some arthritis but I'll be able to get back to it! I love the ocean and I loved my job, it made me feel like I was doing something with myself. I was doing something beneficial and enjoying my life, I was proud to get my neon Bering Sea shirt from Lummies. Nowadays, I work on recovery, study the Ecological benefits and operating procedures of Kelp Farming. I'm working with a team of people on The CRABITAT, an Algorand based blockchain DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) , to run a Kelp Farm that will fund research, other startups and carbon sequestration projects. The goal is to give people the opportunity to invest in or create an idea that will be beneficial to the planet, if there are revenues created the community member in control will be trusted to fund another community elected project and continue their regenerative efforts. Once the company is operational I aim to scale us to 50 acres.  I really appreciate the tools and resources Greenwave has provided! If anyone would like to assist us with The CRABITAT or exchange research feel free to message me!!! THANK YOU AGAIN GREENWAVE!!!
