Welcome to the community! I am Michelle, Hatchery Manager & Programs Assistant at GreenWave. I have been with GreenWave since 2018 working in all things kelp hatchery related. With the knowledge I have gained over the years, from our facility and others, I support up and coming hatchery technicians with everything from hatchery design and system troubleshooting to standard operating procedures and kelp husbandry.
My desire to get my hands dirty and be a part of sustainable seafood brought me into aquaculture. It all began with eastern oysters (Crassostrea virginica), then giant clams (Tridacna sp.), and finally barramundi (Lates calcarifer) before landing in the kelp world.
I am eager to continue learning along with you all and look forward to great discussions!
