interested in learning more about what kelp has to do with water health and the local economy? Curious about the future of kelp in New York? Intrigued by the possibilities of getting involved? Join us Wednesday, February 14th at 7 PM for a webinar hosted by ReWild Long Island with Lazy Point Farm's Wendy Moore!

ReWild Long Island works with communities on Long Island to protect and improve the biodiversity, resilience, and health of regional ecosystems by educating the public and encouraging the adoption of sustainable landscaping practices centered around native plants. At Lazy Point Farms, we see kelp farming as a vital part of the future of New York—for water quality, sustainability, and the local economy. That's why, over the last few years, we've worked hard to support local growers, both commercial and otherwise, by purchasing equipment for cultivation and processing, helping improve communication among growers about best practices, supporting research to better understand kelp in various end-use forms, and working with local growers to complete and secure NYS’s first commercial permit applications!
