Hi @krista_rosen - It’s important to choose packaging with an adequate moisture barrier as dried seaweed has the potential to rehydrate. A silica packet can definitely be used to absorb moisture and maintain a dry environment inside your bag or pouch. You may have noticed that most dried seaweed you find in stores does contain a silica packet! Others in the community might have some recommendations on specific packaging formats.
I have found that the brown food-grade kraft bags with the poly liners work well. You can heat seal them or use the ziplock seal. The kelp is thirsty and wants whatever moisture it can find. Airtight is really important. Silica pouches do work but aren't something we use (just yet).
