GreenWave's first spools of the season

We just painted our first gametophyte seed spools of the season yesterday! These ones will be planted out in mid October, although we don't expect them to perform well because of biofouling and the water being too warm. We're planning to paint a couple of spools each week over the next month so we can test outplanting dates on our farms. Last season our earliest seed was planted October 31st and performed well.

Can you tell me how you prepared the gametophytes for this process?
@adam_ornstein31 We prepare the gametophyte biomass by weighing it out and grinding it in cell tissues grinder similar to the one in the link below. We seed our 400 ft spools with 0.4 g of semi-dried biomass. When we paint, our spools start dry and we paint on 80 mL of SW with the gametophytes.
