RETI center (https://www.reticenter.org/) and would like to invite you to the Urban Ocean Stewardship Conference 2023. This conference is hosted by the RETI center, to talk about 'Kelp Cultivation in NYC'.
This half-day conference will open up a conversation and dialogue with experts and practitioners from the field: growers in NY Harbor, scientists, and environmental justice advocates. Speakers include Greenwave leadership, kelp researcher and advisor from SUNY Maritime and SUNY Stonybrook, plus special guests focused on floating solar, waterfront accessibility,RETI Center 2023 Kelp conference and more.
We’ll hear answers to questions such as:- How can we use the kelp we grow in and around New York Harbor?
- What impacts can kelp have on water quality, carbon, community, and biodiversity?
- What limitations and opportunities are growers experiencing?
- What does it take to start a kelp operation in your community?
