If you take part in post-harvest quality control, and handle shipping kelp samples to labs for nutritional analysis, register for this workshop from 9am-1pm EDT on October 24, 2023
The virtual workshop is titled “Supporting the Standardization of Seaweed Measurements." It is being hosted by the U.S. federal agency called NIST and cosponsored by the WWF (Tuesday, October 24, 2023 – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm EDT). The workshop will discuss the Dietary Supplement Laboratory Quality Assurance Program (DSQAP) Exercise 1 seaweed study results, observations, and technical recommendations, as well as provide opportunities for discussions on improving measurement capabilities. There will be presentations from NIST staff and guided topic discussions for more in depth conversations. The goals of the workshop are to connect and engage the commercial, research, and analytical laboratory communities to discuss the importance of robust and validated analytical methods and determine future NIST roles in supporting seaweed measurement standardization.
    Registration Fee: $35 USD
