Calling on San Diego Kelpers!

Hello All from the Burrito City!
My name is Nam Nguyen, mechanical and ocean engineer in San Diego. I am currently enrolled in the "How to Start a Kelp Farm" course and couldn't help but notice a fair amount of San Diego people. My interest is in raising Giant Pacific Kelp (Macrocystis Pyrifera) for harvest and habitat restoration.
San Diego, being unique in both its urban location and population, ocean environment, and economic opportunities, warrants a collection of minds to make kelp farming in our region a reality.
I would really like a chance to get some of the folks in San Diego together - perhaps over aforementioned burritos and beverages - to begin the greater conversation.

@nam_nguyen thanks for sending this post! I am a native San Diegan and recently began making plans to ocean farm here. I am also in the course but couldn't make the first live session. Ocean farming has been on the back of my mind for 2+ years, but I am now taking the plunge.
