The Off Season is Here!

Now that kelp harvest is over, the off season is finally here. Farmers should be prioritizing this extra time to check gear for the coming Fall. If farmers are reusing the same gear, it should be properly checked before the next season. Here is an image of an anchor that was pulled off the Thimble Island Ocean Farm. We are checking the connections for chaffing and replacing any damaged line. There is always work to be done on the farm!
