    Hello all!

    My name is Ammar Al Abbasi, I have been looking for a resources to develop Kelp farming and hatcheries in the Middle East forever now, and the Hub was the perfect answer for us!

    We have a team of really passionate investors that want to enter the kelp farming space in the region, we are keen to make a positive ecological impact and tap into this really exciting space.

    We really loved watching the Webcast yesterday, it was super informative, and I would love to discuss this opportunity with the Greenwave team in more detail further!

    Best,

    Ammar

    @ammar_alabbasi - Hi Ammar, thanks for tuning in. To my knowledge, the waters in the Middle East may be too warm for kelps and other cold-water macroalgae, which tend to require 4-13 degrees Centigrade. However, farming warm water seaweeds could be a possibility in your region. If you want to learn more about the biophysical characteristics that are conducive to growing kelp, you can review the Lesson within the Site Evaluation course here.

    @lindsay_olsen -

    Hi Lindsay, thank you for getting back to me, would you know if warm water seaweeds and kelp have the same viability as cool water? Primarily in terms of uses and profitability?

    Would love it if you could guide us towards some resources to better understand the species

    Best,
