We want to be clear
The process of shaping your farm from an idea into a reality can be long, hard, and full of setbacks. Many farmers find that identifying a site, designing a farm, and then securing the lease rights to those waters takes months, and sometimes multiple years, to achieve. Starting and running a farm is not a cake walk.
Regardless of your background, we believe that with enough motivation, diligence, and practice, anyone can become an ocean farmer. The courses that follow go into detail about the process and considerations for starting a farm. Our aim is to help you master the basic concepts of the industry, so you can draft a farm design, sketch out a financial model, and start exploring your lease options, with the ultimate goal of getting your gear in the water.
Now onward to starting your farm!
