Outplanting

Outplanting is the act of transferring juvenile kelp seed, grown in a hatchery, to its permanent home on the growlines of your farm. In this course, we’ll discuss best practices for transporting your seed spools, choosing your weather window, and ultimately unspooling your seed string onto the growlines of your farm. Lastly, we’ll cover how outplanting can look different on single-line and 5-line arrays.
