Watch the array come into alignment at the end of this video.
Back to: Farm Installation
After you’ve installed your dummy line and linked the anchors on either side of your array, now it’s time to tension the system. We recommend that you spend a lot of time getting one side of your array in the exact right position, and in line with the other arrays on that side of your farm. Then connect your dummy line to the second anchor which has been placed a little closer in than its ultimate position. Once the dummy line has been connected, hook on to the tag line of the second anchor and use the power of your boat to motor away from the first anchor and drag the second anchor backward, straightening the system.
As you do this, you should be able to watch your array come into alignment. If you’re using tensioning buoys, they should drop below the surface of the water as the array pulls tight, and you’ll notice the center buoy on your dummy line swing into place. Looking down the length of your array, your buoys should line up in a straight line.
Watch an array come into line on the GreenWave farm when the second drag embedment anchor is pulled backward to stretch out the dummy line to its full dimension.

Once your array has been properly tensioned using your dummy lines, you can leave it this way for weeks or months as you go about installing the remaining arrays on your farm.
