Fall Farmer Meet & Greet and Seagriculture Sponsorship

Seagriculture is an international conference where farmers can connect with other stakeholders across the value chain, and learn about cutting-edge research, applications, and markets. GreenWave invites seaweed farmers to apply for sponsorship to attend Seagriculture in Portland, Maine from September 5-8.

During the conference, GreenWave will host a Farmers-Only Meet & Greet, providing a unique opportunity to learn from, network, and collaborate with other farmers across North America. Additionally, GreenWave is organizing an optional infrastructure tour following the conference to visit Maine mariculture innovators.

GreenWave Sponsorship includes:

• Travel costs
• Conference fees
• Lodging at conference hotel
• Farmers-Only Meet & Greet (evening of Tuesday, September 5)
• Optional Maine infrastructure tour (Friday, September 8)

To be eligible, farmers must:

• Own or operate a kelp farm in the U.S. or Canada
• Have an active farm lease & permit
• Plan to outplant kelp in 2023

Participation is limited to one applicant per farm, with priority given to farmers who haven’t previously participated in an in-person GreenWave event. Please hold the date for the conference while we review applications. Selected candidates will be notified by August 1, 2023.
