When you have the spools ready to outplant, prepare an invoice for both your own records and to give to the farmer. The invoice should include where the sorus tissue was sourced from and when it was collected. List the score of the spool if applicable, along with the price of the spool and the date it was delivered. 

At GreenWave, we also use these invoices as a guide for data collection. We include space on the invoice for farmers to write down the date of outplanting, weather conditions, water quality parameters, and where the spools were outplanted on the farm. This allows us to track how outplanting conditions may impact kelp growth and whether certain spools perform better than others on the farm.
