Look Over All Mechanical Equipment

You should take the time to give all the mechanical equipment within the hatchery a once-over each day to make sure everything is running properly.  Every facility will have different mechanical setups, but some examples include HVAC units, chillers, pumps, and air blowers.

If budget allows, it’s always good to have extra equipment on hand in the event that something malfunctions and you need a replacement while it’s being serviced. This is especially true for mission-critical equipment like chillers.

Check your mechanical equipment everyday to ensure that it’s functioning properly.
